In 2019, the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society took in 1,200 cats. Then they decided to approach things differently and after a consult and a spay/neuter grant for community cats from the Joanie Bernard Foundation and implementing a variety of new strategies at their shelter, a short 2 years later they cut their feline intake by 75% by providing sustainable solutions. Join us to listen to the lessons learned, the setbacks, the successes and why they would never go back to the old ways.
