While we busily work on behalf of animals, how can we also connect with community members, especially those who haven’t considered or had access to pet adoption or animal services? How can we break down stereotypes about our work and promote even our harder-to-place pets more effectively? Together we’ll tackle these questions and more! Join us October 19th at 3pm EST/12pm PST.
This 1-hour workshop examines the easy-to-implement, often subtle shifts we can make to reach new audiences and the power of positivity in building relationships and changing minds. With a focus on imagery, the language we use, and transparency, we’ll also explore how the concept of positive marketing contributes to life-saving goals.
Attendees will be able to:
- Identify the broader purpose of marketing, and how positivity can open new doors
- Compare elements of “positive marketing” and traditional “guilt marketing”
- Reflect on the role of imagery and language/word choice in connecting with the community
- Ultimately, create digital media with impact, using positive imagery and language
- Understand how to handle tough topics and subjects with honesty and transparency, yet still taking a positive approach.
