Traditional boards fulfill a critical role in animal welfare organizations. But, what if you are ready to expand your organization’s size, mission, or reach? Could it be time to build an advisory board? Advisory boards operate in tandem with the board of directors and when executed properly can serve as a conduit for community influence and resources. Join us as we explore the do this and please don’t do that of working with high level volunteers.
In this session participants will examine the lifecycles of nonprofits, identify opportunities and challenges of adding an advisory board, and create an opportunity matrix to guide them on community recruitment for possible board members.
