Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies. Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. IVS Presents (fee applies): This all new seminar has been designed to provide you with practical information on the current thoughts on anesthesia along with acute and chronic pain management in your practice.
Maddie's Fund Presents: Each Open Arms Challenge Zoom Huddle will consist of two 10-minute presentations followed by a 20-minute Q&A. About this huddle: Find out how animal shelters and animal rescue partners can work together to meet the needs of their community.
EveryCat Health Foundation Presents: The lecture will review the common forms of feline heart disease with a concentration on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the most common form of heart disease in cats. Common clinical signs and diagnostic tests will be reviewed. There will also be a presentation of commonly used drugs to treat feline heart disease.

CalAnimals Presents (fee applies): All shelter staff and volunteers will benefit from this 6-week Shelter Behavior Seminar. Recordings will be available until January 15, 2022. Member organizations may receive a Group Discount when registering 10 or more.
FDSA Presents (fee applies): We all know that medical issues can influence behavior. Dogs who don’t feel well can be cranky, or more anxious than normal – just like humans! But what about less obvious “red flags” for a physical problem that you might not be aware of?
ACVB Presents (fee applies): This lecture will give an overview of the main classes of drugs used for daily and as needed treatment of emotional disorders in dogs and cats – how they work, what the therapeutic expectations are for each, and what side effects may be expected. Drug interactions, adverse effects, and weaning protocols will also be discussed.
