DESCRIPTION:Program overview: This series of educational modules will prepare participants to manage playgroups using the LIMA ethical standard and use conspecific interactions for behavior modification. \nCohort structure: Learners will join a cohort that will meet virtually for four months. Each cohort will be invited to optional twice-monthly (bi-weekly) hour-long\, live meetings via Zoom webinar so that questions can be answered live. The Zoom sessions will be recorded and shared only with the current cohort. \nAs of January 1\, 2023 the following fee structure will apply:\nShelter\, rescue\, or animal-related welfare organization staff and volunteers: no cost\nRegistration process for shelters\, rescues\, or animal-related welfare organizations: Individuals interested in joining each cohort must submit an “e-mail of interest” by the enrollment deadline to mara@shelterdogplay.org. The e-mail must include: (1) the organization with which the individual is affiliated; and (2) affirmation of understanding of the completion requirements. \nIndividuals not affiliated with any shelter\, rescue\, or animal-related welfare organization: $200\nDog day care staff enrolling multiple employees: $300 (10 or less employees); $500 (11 to 20 employees); or $800 (21 or more employees)\nRegistration process for non-shelter or rescue participants: Non-shelter individuals interested in joining each cohort must pay the registration fee via the Shelter Playgroup Alliance website. \nCompletion time frame: Learners will be expected to complete approximately 1.5 modules per week during the 16 week period (four months)\, which will require 60-90 minutes per week. The program consists of Basic\, Foundation\, and Intermediate modules all of which must be completed to earn CEUs and/or a certificate of completion. Learners may continue their learning across only two cohorts. For example\, if an individual is enrolled in the Spring cohort and is not able to complete the program in the allotted time frame\, the learner may be enrolled in the Winter cohort in order to complete by the end of the year. Winter cohort registrants may be enrolled into the Spring cohort\, to complete by mid-year the following calendar year. Further extensions will not be granted. \nOther requirements: In order to complete the assignments\, learners must have access to at least two species of animals during the cohort period (e.g.\, dogs\, cats\, rabbits\, birds\, or horses). \nLearner Agreement: Each learner must sign an agreement stating that they will agree to the discussion rules\, not screen record the sessions or content\, nor use any of the materials provided for their own financial gain without prior written consent. Violation of the learner agreement will result in immediate account deactivation. \nCPDT: 36 CEUs | IAABC: 36 CEUs \nWEBSITE LINK:  https://www.shelterdogplay.org/workshops
