More than 1\,000 veterinary students from the classes of ’20 and ’21 at US and Caribbean veterinary schools responded. The survey results showed that most students felt that their school’s reaction to COVID-19 was reasonable\, and nearly 90% of the class of 2020 had signed or verbally agreed to employment. However\, mental wellbeing of students has declined\, and nearly two-thirds of the class of 2021 had externship experiences postponed or canceled.
