SUMMARY:Online Conference - 2/11/22 to 2/13/22 - The Lemonade Conference - Behavior and Training - IAABC and FDSA (fee applies)
DESCRIPTION:As dog trainers\, it’s not about what we can’t do — it’s about what we can do! So when COVID-19 shut down IAABC and FDSA’s in-person training conferences in 2020\, we took those lemons\, squeezed them\, added some water\, sugar\, and a splash of attitude and we made … lemonade! \nWorking together\, IAABC and FDSA created The Lemonade Conference\, a highly affordable online educational extravaganza of unprecedented size and scope — 40+ presenters with two simultaneous classrooms running for three days\, 18 hours a day. \nNow we’re back for a third year and we’ve stepped it up again! This year we have 50+ presenters and *THREE* rooms running simultaneously throughout the conference from 7 a.m. PST ’til 8 p.m. PST!  If you’re not available to attend live\, no problem! All conference attendees will have access to a free “library” of presentations from the conference included in their registration fee (conference must be purchased before registration ends; videos are then available for at least a year in your library). Watch the recordings from the comfort of your living room in the months following the conference — always at your leisure. \nWe welcome you to join us and our talented group of presenters\, to make new friends around the world. We have so much in common\, and so much to learn from each other. We believe we’ll make some very tasty lemonade indeed! \nWEBSITE LINK:  https://thelemonadeconference.com/

SUMMARY:Webinar - 2/17/22 - Managed and Diverted Intake - CalAnimals
DESCRIPTION:Managed and diverted intake is the process in which shelters are transparent with their community and empower their community to solve problems outside of the shelter’s walls by working together. SUMMARY:Webinar - 2/18/22 - Fancy Footwork: Practical Handling And Training Solutions For The Entire Shelter - Dogs Playing for Life
DESCRIPTION:While playgroups are the foundation of our shelter training program\, teaching shelter teams how to implement a generalized\, effective\, and enjoyable way to handle and train their dogs is another essential aspect of our canine programming! In this webinar\, we will teach the fundamentals of our “Fancy Footwork” techniques that focus on achieving good leash manners through the use of your FEET instead of your hands. Come learn this unique and highly effective approach that promotes dogs happily walking softly by your side\, offering tons of eye contact\, and wowing adopters! This new approach to leash work will enhance your handling skills and increase your ability to train ALL dogs\, even those that are highly aroused\, stressed\, fearful\, or not motivated by food\, all in an effort to improve quality of life and lifesaving for dogs living in shelters. \nAdditionally\, we will teach you how to implement our critically important kennel routines. The kennel areas of our nation’s shelters can be one of the most challenging and distressing environments that dogs–and their handlers–ever face. DPFL kennel routines have been developed and taught to shelters across the country in an effort to combat these challenges and to provide safer and more successful ways for dogs and people to maneuver through the kennels. \nThis is a 1.5-hour presentation followed by a Q&A session. This webinar will NOT be recorded and is scheduled on EASTERN TIME. \nWEBSITE LINK:  https://dogsplayingforlife.com/webinars/
