What does rabies look like in domestic animals and how risky is this to humans? Rabies vaccine is the ONLY vaccine among the various biologics administered to companion animals in California that is regulated under State law\, and it is the responsibility of every licensed veterinarian to practice within the context of law when managing patients with respect to rabies and rabies vaccination.
