SUMMARY:Webinar - 5/19/20 - The Future of Animal Sheltering: Elements of the Animal Social Services Coalition Model - AmPA and Maddie's Fund
DESCRIPTION:The sheltering system as we know it was created more than 100 years ago and depended on addressing animal issues separately from human issues. Today\, we are long overdue for a new approach that is in line with human social services and social justice movements and considers animals as part of family systems. Join the Executive Committee of the American Pets Alive! Animal Social Services Coalition to hear about how through collaboration with shelters around the country we plan to prototype an entirely new system to serve pets and people in our communities. \nThis webinar is presented by Dr. Ellen Jefferson (AmPA/APA)\, Kristen Hassen-Auerbach\, Gina Knepp (Michelson Found Animals Foundation); Lisa Lafontaine (Humane Rescue Alliance); Bobby Mann (AmPA) \nREGISTER:  https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_S5cSvorMSce035SMo4neCQ
