SUMMARY:Webinar - 7/5/22 - DPFL’s Approach to On-Leash Reactivity - Dogs Playing for Life
DESCRIPTION:Reactivity on the part of dogs living in shelters is a rampant issue that can contribute to behavioral deterioration\, increased length of stay\, and even loss of life. From a misdiagnosis of “aggression” to dogs whose reactive behavior escalates to problematic and potentially unsafe levels\, learning how to help dogs suffering from reactivity issues is a crucial need shared by our entire industry. \nWhile this webinar can be attended as a standalone course\, we will build on our Fancy Footwork approach to handling and training to offer practical training\, handling\, and safety solutions to on-leash reactivity for dogs living in shelters. \nThis is a 1.5-hour presentation followed by a Q&A session. This webinar will NOT be recorded and is scheduled on EASTERN TIME. \nWEBSITE LINK:  https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_c0jMB3jMRoWD3JTjmYGA_Q

SUMMARY:Webinar - 7/7/22 - Spiral Up to Success: Improve the Flow\, Fun\, and Effectiveness of your Training (WORKING WEBINAR) - FDSA (fee applies)
DESCRIPTION:Spiral training emphasizes flow and fun in training by removing the “linear/singular goal” approach to acquiring skills. By substituting a spiral made up of a wide variety of needed skills\, you and your dog will be able to train longer with more joy and less stress – what a win for your team! \nIn this webinar\, you’ll learn what qualities to consider in your spiral training and how to attain your goals without hyper-focusing on any singular skill or behavior. You’ll observe video examples of typical spiral training sessions where we incorporate toys\, food\, and behavior work amongst all of the skill training to ensure you cover as much territory as possible. One day\, a few months down the road\, you will look back and be amazed at what your dog can do – significant progress with less effort and more fun! \nPresenter: Denise Fenzi \nThis is a working webinar. That means you’ll be given a short break before Q&A to put what you learned into practice. When the break is over\, you can return to the group and ask your questions to ensure you have a solid grasp of the materials. \nWEBSITE LINK:  https://www.fenzidogsportsacademy.com/index.php/self-study/webinars
