Right care: animals are not left in dangerous circumstances to cause harm, suffer or die; nor are they admitted to crowded shelters. Care within the shelter maintains the five freedoms of animal welfare/Fear Free sheltering, and community members are engaged with and supported to ensure the same for animals at risk in the community. Shelters operate within capacity for staff and public safety as well as animal care.
