Pyometra (infection of the uterus) is a life-threatening condition that affects dogs and cats. Definitive treatment of this condition involves surgery to remove the infected uterus; however, many clients who do not have access to spay surgery also do not have access to pyometra surgery.
This webinar will discuss ways to increase access to pyometra surgery, including performing surgery in nonspecialized and outpatient facilities, as well as stabilization before referral. It will also discuss recommended surgical techniques for complicated pyometras.
