Shelter Playgroup Alliance is offering a series of 4 virtual events in the month of June. Attendance is free but is limited to 500 people per session. SPA invites shelter staff and volunteers to attend these sessions. Each session is 10 AM to 2 PM Pacific. Register in advance for each webinar.

Mara Velez (Executive Director @Shelter Playgroup Alliance)
Mara Velez, MA, CPDT-KA, is the Executive Director of the Shelter Playgroup Alliance and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Formerly a behavior and training consultant at Contra Costa Animal Services where she collaboratively designed, developed, and implemented behavior program structures, including a robust volunteer training program, revised behavior evaluation, canine enrichment and playgroup guidelines. Mara holds both a bachelors and master’s degree in psychology and completed all of the course work for a doctorate in education.
