This series starts off with a bang on Friday, October 20th at 2:00 pm EST with guest speaker Kelley Bollen, MS, CABC, who will be co-hosting with Morgan Rivera, GP Shelter Manager, CPDT-KA.

Kelley is a nationally recognized expert in the field of shelter behavioral care and has worked with animal welfare organizations for over 20 years while Morgan has been directly involved in a variety of capacities within the animal welfare arena from volunteer to shelter manager, also for the past 20 years.

Together they will both be bringing their wealth of knowledge to the table to discuss the importance of taking a proactive approach to post adoption support to ensure forever homes. This webinar will include ideas on how best to implement those strategies within the shelter environment; how to coach on the decompression period as a dog adjusts to their new environment; and how to get started with introductions to other family members, including already established pets in the home.

This webinar is the first in a series of 3 on Proactive Post Adoption Strategies. We’ll be following it up with webinars on how to successfully set up “new” dog introductions in multi animal homes with a focus on dog to dog introductions in November and dog to cat introductions in December.
