In this 1-hour, VETgirl small animal webinar, Dr. Justine Lee, DACVECC, DABT will review the top poisons that kill small animal patients. While these poisons aren’t common, they have a higher rate of fatality compared to other more commonly seen toxicants in dogs and cats. In this lecture, Dr. Lee will review toxicants such as 5-FU, isoniazid, ethylene glycol, bifenthrin, and organophosphates/carbamates, the mechanism of action of each toxicant, modality of mechanism, clinical signs, and overall treatment!
