As community initiatives become a large focus in the sheltering field, leaders must ask important questions about how to ethically develop and implement programming.  This webinar discusses research-based guidelines on how to establish responsible community efforts, which include direct community involvement, research and evaluation, and long-term commitment to funding.  We will:

• Review literature related to ethical program development
• Examine CDC principles of community engagement guidelines
• Discuss case examples surrounding potential ethical challenges in community engagement
• Discuss how to develop ethical community programming in the sheltering field
