Successfully resolving community cat complaints is important for permanently solving the root cause of the issue, for the success of a community cat program and for building relationships with the community. We’ll discuss strategic placement of deterrents, de-escalation techniques and information sharing regarding the long-term effectiveness of managing populations of community cats after sterilization. Attendees will leave this session with talking points to the most common complaints and solutions for scenarios in which cats are causing a nuisance. Relevant for: Supervisors, intake, staff handling returns, staff taking calls from the public, field staff.
