Event – 2/25/25 – American Black History: Extraction to Extraordinary Concert – CARE (donation applies)
CARE Presents (donation applies): These performances will pay homage to the power of the African American experience, both the struggle and ascendance; mirrored by music that sustained and healed a people, and inspired the world. Streaming tickets available; Proceeds of Extraction to Extraordinary Musical Event will raise scholarship funds for CARE’s Dr. Jodie G. Blackwell Veterinary Scholarship Fund which benefits African American students.
Online Event – 2/27/25 – Maddie’s Monthly Behavior Connection – Turning Fear into Friendship: Building Trust with Shelter Cats – Maddie’s Fund
Maddie’s Fund Presents: Guest speaker Jacklyn Ellis will guide attendees on a formal program for gaining the trust of the more fearful cats in your care, and a method for tracking their progress and welfare so that case managers can know when to implement additional interventions.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: Join us on the fourth Thursday of every month as we talk about dog and cat behavior – supporting pets in our community and animal shelters. Each month, we hear from speakers about topics of interest to our group, such as behavior medications, modifying animal behavior, assessing and improving animal welfare, and how organizations successfully provide behavior support to dogs and cats.
