PPG Presents (fee applies): In this not to be missed presentation, we will immerse ourselves into the topic of food motivation, increasing our understanding of why some dogs are indifferent to food during their training sessions, and discuss a variety of solutions!

Maddie’s Fund Presents: In this presentation, results will be shared from a new study assessing using a standardized behavior modification program and daily gabapentin administration to treat fearful cats from hoarding environments. Further, instructions and resources for conducting behavior modification in shelters will be shared, along with a summary of a growing body of research and in-shelter experience demonstrating that many fearful cats from hoarding environments are treatable in shelters and can have positive outcomes in homes.

NACA/Justice Clearinghouse Presents: The term “community engagement” gets thrown around a lot, as if it is something that an officer can do if they have a few extra minutes. To unlock the full potential of community engagement, however, we must start thinking of it as less of a project and more of a state of mind. In this course you will learn how embracing community engagement as a mindset can, and will, increase lifesaving efforts and officer safety.  

FDSA Presents (fee applies): This presentation will be an overview of the Constructional Aggression Treatment (CAT) with an emphasis on how it has been improved. I’ll go over what the Constructional Approach is, the importance of environment, and, importantly, adding the term “Alert” to our aggression vocabulary.
