CalAnimals Presents: Drawing from their diverse lived experience and expertise in community engagement and organizing, pet adoptions, animal behavior and veterinary medicine, panelists will share strategies for engaging multicultural communities to build trust and boost pet adoptions. The California for All Animals team will share statewide findings about multicultural engagement and how their free translation services are impacting shelters and animal control agencies across California.

HASS Presents: In honor of ACO Appreciation Month and to continue our conversation on lost pet reunification, HASS welcomes you to join Jace Huggins, VP & Chief of Humane Law Enforcement at San Diego Humane Society and Mike Wheeler, Director of Cabot Animal Support Services, as they discuss how to unite with your local animal control team to support less lost pet intake and more keeping families together.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: During our discussion, we will examine a variety of foster care programs that have been studied, explore the evidence of their effects on human and animal welfare, evaluate the successes and challenges in supporting shelter foster care programs, illuminate discrepancies in equity and diversity of caregiver engagement that offer opportunities for recruitment, and recommend best practices for lasting programmatic success.
