Virox Presents: During this session, members from the University of Florida’s Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service will share how their unit has responded to state disasters and local emergencies in the past, and what has changed since COVID-19. This discussion will include how to prepare for a disaster impacting your community, as well as how to get involved in emergency and disaster response.

KSMP Presents: Dr. Jena Valdez, SF SPCA Director of Community Medicine, will share how the SF SPCA expanded their access to care by creating a community clinic, now celebrating its first birthday, to support historically underserved communities within their city. Learn how the staff made the case to open the clinic to their senior leadership and board, what services they offer, how many patients they are serving, staffing levels, clinic design, pricing, client flow, clinic hours, advertising, and Covid considerations.

NACA/Justice Clearinghouse Present: This webinar will help you learn how to be ready to emergency shelter animals by identifying the supplies you’ll need and valuable partnerships to make.  You will also learn how to get the outside help you might need if local resources become overwhelmed.  Finally, this webinar will teach you some basic practices that will help you keep animals and their families together during the challenge and chaos of the natural disaster.

FDSA Presents (fee applies): In this webinar we will discuss fear, anxiety, frustration and over-arousal. We will look at common genetic traits that can lead to behavioral issues, and discuss various behavior-modifying techniques for reactivity, and the performance of aggressive behaviors toward people and dogs. We will also identify key behaviors that indicate it is time to seek out help from a veterinary behavior specialist.

Learn how to utilize the newer classes of medications – including supplements – effectively in this case-based lecture!

Missouri Coalition of Animal Care Organizations Presents: Cat expert Stephanie Stryker will discuss deliberate and thoughtful housing ideas for ringworm cats inside the shelter so they are accessible and noticed by adopters. She’ll discuss how to market/counsel adopters on ringworm cats and what to do to set them up for success when they leave the shelter. Recommended treatments and our in-home care handouts will be included.

The AAWA and PetFinder Pro Present: The animal welfare field is fueled by compassionate individuals who share a deep love of animals. At the same time, that compassion has not always been extended to the other side of the leash. Fear and bias have created structural barriers to adoption, unequal access to pet care resources, and missed opportunities to accomplish our lifesaving goals. Together, we will learn how to identify outdated practices and policies while addressing the underlying, well-intentioned concerns that have kept them in place.

HSVMA Presents: During this webinar, Dr. Block will explore the financial barriers to obtaining veterinary care that many pet owners are facing. Several possible solutions will be considered.
