Tune in for a special seminar as we celebrate One Health Awareness Month! This virtual presentation by T’ Fisher examines how integrated One Health systems can improve outcomes for pet families while strengthening community health and resilience. Grounded in the One Health framework, the session highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration among animal welfare, public health, veterinary medicine, and human services.

The presentation will describe the work of the Program for Pet Health Equity (PPHE) and its efforts to address structural and systemic barriers that limit access to care for pets and their families.

Key areas of focus include:

• Development of integrated, cross-sector service models that support pet families experiencing economic, geographic, or social barriers
• Strategic partnerships between animal welfare organizations and human-serving systems, including public health, housing, and social services
• Education and workforce development initiatives aimed at reducing bias, increasing shared understanding, and strengthening collaboration across disciplines
