Founders Board = Bad
A Founder’s Board is a board that isn’t really governing the organization – they are leaving that to you, the founder. Instead, that board is rubber stamping what you think should be done. After all, these are your family and friends. They want to support your efforts. They are certainly not there to create family feuds by suggesting you might not be right!
Governing Board = Good
A Governing Board – one that provides the leadership of the organization, that sets direction and policy, that provides financial oversight and ensures adequate resources to expenditures. A good Governing Board is your way to freedom and a life. I promise because it happened to me.
Come learn how to give up the reins and ride your non-profit into a successful future.
