Guest speakers will share stories of successful collaborations, and attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the importance of integrating a culturally sensitive and collaborative approach into their mission and operations. This presentation will explore historical and current events that have shaped the relationships between the animal welfare field and indigenous communities and how racism, exploitation, and cultural appropriation have exacerbated existing challenges.
