Maddie’s Fund Presents: ​​This presentation equips foster caregivers and adopters with essential knowledge about common infectious diseases in dogs, with a focus on practical tips for prevention and management. Covering topics like parasites, distemper, parvo, leptospirosis, canine infectious respiratory disease complex, rabies, heartworm, and tick-borne diseases, attendees will learn what each disease is, how it spreads, and whether it poses a risk to humans.

Community Cats Podcast and Neighborhood Cats Present (small fee applies): Learn from the folks who started the community TNR program in New York City and helped other municipalities organize their programs as well. We’ll go over training the public, providing support services, tracking success, gaining publicity and more.

CARE Presents (donation applies): These performances will pay homage to the power of the African American experience, both the struggle and ascendance; mirrored by music that sustained and healed a people, and inspired the world. Streaming tickets available; Proceeds of Extraction to Extraordinary Musical Event will raise scholarship funds for CARE’s Dr. Jodie G. Blackwell Veterinary Scholarship Fund which benefits African American students.

Learn from national professionals Dr. Julie Levy, Marnie Russ, Monica Tarant, and Tabitha Kucera.

California for All Animals Presents: NJoin Melissa Gomez (SF SPCA Community Workforce Manager) and Elsa Ramos (Friends of Oakland Animal Services Bilingual Adoption Coordinator) as they share their journey of creating meaningful connections with Latine pet guardians and discover how you can bring these welcoming approaches to your own organization! Learn about successful volunteer translator programs, community ambassador initiatives, and other approaches that have helped community members feel truly welcomed and supported.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: This presentation provides foster caregivers and adopters with the tools to recognize, prevent, and manage common infectious diseases in cats. Topics include ringworm, panleukopenia, calicivirus, upper respiratory disease, toxoplasmosis, parasites, FeLV, FIV, and FIP. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what these diseases are, how they spread, and any risks they may pose to humans.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: Prepare for Kitten Season with expert guidance! Join us in this follow live question and answer session. This will provide time for your team to catch up on any sessions they may have missed from Camp Maddie Kitten’s first day on March 4th, to browse the extensive collection of supporting documents, protocols, and forms, and to bring forward any remaining questions and obstacles encountered in enhancing your kitten programs.

California for All Animals Presents: Join the call on March 18 to learn how Monika Khuc, LMFT and Community Support Manager at WAGS Pet Adoption in Westminster, California, helped implement a social work-informed approach to address barriers faced by diverse communities, including the Vietnamese community. By centering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles, WAGS prioritized the human-animal bond and keeping pets and families together. 

Maddie’s Fund Presents: Join us on the fourth Thursday of every month as we talk about dog and cat behavior – supporting pets in our community and animal shelters. Each month, we hear from speakers about topics of interest to our group, such as behavior medications, modifying animal behavior, assessing and improving animal welfare, and how organizations successfully provide behavior support to dogs and cats.
