Dogs Playing for Life Presents: In this first of three webinars, we will present powerful examples of how playgroups can not only enhance the quality of life for your shelter dogs, but how focusing on their quality of life through enrichment can lead to game-changing benefits to your shelter’s everyday operations.

PPG Presents (fee applies): Suzanne Clothier’s Really Real Relaxation Protocol (RRR) is based on her commitment as a trainer to creating authentic responses rather than faux or “looks like” (but actually is not) behaviors. RRR is a must-have tool for any trainer.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: San Diego Humane Society’s Community Initiatives Specialist, Lauren Rogers, will facilitate a conversation with Jesse Casement, Division Director of Client Services at Father Joe’s Villages and Riley Yates, Animal Welfare Coordinator at GRACE Marketplace, who have each implemented co-sheltering programs at their respective homeless shelters.

CalAnimals Presents: Because stress is directly linked to their immune system, decreasing the amount of stress cats experience in the shelter will reduce the overall number of cats who get sick in the shelter. Attendees will leave this session with an understanding of safe handling techniques and cage set up for various scenarios including decompression and spot cleaning.

Dog iBox Presents (fee applies): In this presentation, the science-based rationale for following every click with a backup reinforcer will be reviewed, and we will explore the faulty reasoning often used to support the practice of blazing clickers.

FDSA Presents (fee applies): An integrated approach for developing a behavior modification plan when working with fearful and reactive dogs. Reinforcement strategies, changing emotion, teaching alternative behaviors, impulse control that creates predictability, confidence building, and of course a vast array of behavior modification techniques is all part of the plan.
