Webinar – 4/3/25 – Systems Change and Collaboration to Improve Animal Welfare – Life of Riley

Life of Riley’s community has grown to encompass stakeholders in animal advocacy and the pet industry, academia and government agencies, human service providers as well as veterinary clinics and animal shelters. We believe everyone has a role in co-creating a better world for human and non-human animals and remain committed to building and supporting platforms that foster trust, listening, and relationship building amongst diverse stakeholders. To this end, we have invited Reos Partners to lead our next webinar on Systems Change and Collaboration. Reos Partners has worked with stakeholders holding disparate views and interests on a range of issues — from land reform in South Africa to educational reform in Brazil — to co-create sustainable solutions to these complex social challenges. Join us on Zoom to learn about and explore these approaches in the context of complex animal welfare challenges.

  • Webinar – 4/3/25 – California Adopt-a-Pet Day: Strategies for Success! – CalAnimals

    Webinar – 4/3/25 – California Adopt-a-Pet Day: Strategies for Success! – CalAnimals

This year’s California Adopt-a-Pet Day will take place on Saturday, June 7th, and the ASPCA will once again, be providing grants to underwrite the waived adoption fees. Last year’s event was a huge success, with 3,609 adoptions, and for 2025 we have a new goal of finding loving homes for 5,000 dogs, cats, horses, and other small animals. As the media outreach and paid advertising drive more adopters to your door, we want to help you prepare and maximize this opportunity to send as many pets home as possible. Join us for this informative session where leaders from Ventura County Animal Services and Woods Humane Society will share their strategies for success. You’ll hear how they do their promotions, ramp up volunteer support, prepare staff, orchestrate the large number of adoptions, and ensure that as many animals as possible are ready to go. You’ll also learn about the great resources available to assist by our promotions expert from the ASPCA.
