This calendar is a listing of webinars, other learning opportunities, online meetings and other upcoming national events related to animal sheltering and related areas of interest.

Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies.  Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained.  We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier.  For additional information on any of these items before or after the event please contact the organizer directly (listed in the item description).

Webinar – 5/27/21 – Practical Applications of bringing a Rural Shelter from 33% to 90+% live release rate – Texas Unites (fee applies)

May 27, 2021 @ 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM PDT

$49

Practical Applications of bringing a Rural Shelter from 33% to 90+% live release rate workshop will outline how we worked with city leadership to open doors to begin changing how the community treats their animals.

In addition, we will discuss how we implemented focused life- saving programs to reduce the EU rate.  These programs were from our Lifesaving Apprentice Classes from Maddie’s Fund/American Pets Alive!.  We used focused data to create programs that would make the largest impact on the numbers.  We will also discuss how to work your way through crisis – you don’t have to lose these animals!

Speakers

Kelli Ballenger, Co-Founder, Rusk County Pets Alive!
