Banfield Presents: Conflict is something that, as much as we try, we cannot avoid because conflict comes up anytime your view differs from another’s — and humans are opinionated beings. While most of us have a strong reactions to conflict, including (but not limited to) fear; avoidance; and/or dread, conflict can also have positive impacts. It can allow for exploration of new and different ways of doing things resulting in better outcomes. When we think of the negatives of conflict it’s because of the emotions that conflict evokes — often making situations feel explosive. By learning how to step up to conflict and confronting it head on by using the right approach, you can turn conflict into a positive for both you and your team.
Think Anesthesia Presents: This lecture details fluid therapy for a variety of patients seen in a hospital setting. The learning objectives for this course include: review of physiology of fluids within the body, fluid therapy options, the decision-making process for choosing and using different fluids available (fluid type, fluid rate, fluid volume), fluid therapy as it pertains to blood pressure, and identifying complications associated with incorrect fluid use. Case examples will be provided for acute vs. chronic fluid loss and replacement, as well as an interactive poll regarding fluid therapy use in surgical cases.
Fear Free Presents: Doing a challenging job in even more challenging times can feel overwhelming. During this 60-min webinar, Monique Feyrecilde, BA, LVT, VTS (Behavior), Veterinary Technician at Mercer Island Veterinary Clinic will share tips and strategies to provide successful and effective Fear Free care during the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
