Virginia Community Voice Presents (fee applies): This training is for Board Members and shares VACV’s framework for equitable community engagement, and will guide participants through reflections on their experiences making decisions about and for historically marginalized communities. Not a member of a Board? We’ll also provide tips on how to approach the conversation with your Board about attending this training.

Getting 2 Zero Presents (fee applies): Created specifically to fill a gap for veterinary professionals, the G2Z2025 Feline HQHVSN Workshop is the only event of its kind in Australia. The goal is to have 100 participants that are made up of 50 veterinarians and 50 nurses/techs/practice manager. We are aiming for a ‘team’ (or more) from each workplace so that there is more than one person taking the knowledge and skills back to the workplace
and because much of the value of HQHVSN lies in the processes and non-surgical aspects of the model.

Community Cats Podcast Presents (small fee may apply): How can we streamline the process of reuniting lost pets with their owners—without overburdening our dedicated staff and volunteers or filling up shelter space with lengthy stray holds? In this session, we’ll explore straightforward, effective strategies and processes you can implement to support the owners of lost cats, become a valuable resource for those who find stray cats, and boost the rates at which cats in our shelters are joyfully reunited with their families.

Shelter Playgroup Alliance Presents (fee applies): Don’t miss out on this hands-on workshop to build essential skills for safely working with dogs in the shelter over four days at Berkeley Animal Care Services. You will work in small groups along side experienced, certified coaches to build your skills in a supportive and constructive environment. Join us January 13-16, 2026, and you will earn a Certificate of Completion, as well as the confidence and skills to improve the lives of the animals in your care.
