This calendar is a listing of webinars, other learning opportunities, online meetings and other upcoming national events related to animal sheltering and related areas of interest.

Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies.  Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained.  We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier.  For additional information on any of these items before or after the event please contact the organizer directly (listed in the item description).

Know of any event that we are missing that you think should be shown here?

Mindfulness for Animal Welfare

April 15, 2022 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM PDT

Registration NOW OPEN. visit: www.mindfulvetmed.com/coursecalendar
This session will include brief practices as well as an overview of mindfulness as it relates to the animal welfare field. We will take a look at the emotions and frustrations we face which can lead to things like compassion fatigue and burn out, and which can also leave us questioning ourselves and even our ability to move forward. Come join us as we explore opportunities to move through our busy days (and save lives!) with more space and less reactivity.
After this session, you’re invited to continue the exploration with our Foundations of Mindfulness course, starting April 25th-open to all animal welfare team members!
There are NO REQUIRED REGISTRATION FEES. Ever. For any of our courses. It is our intent that the teachings of mindfulness remain available to all who may benefit, regardless of their ability to pay.
