Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies. Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare leaders. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
Shelter Playgroup Alliance Presents (fee applies): Join us at the 2022 Shelter Behavior and Enrichment Conference, where leaders in behavioral science, animal welfare, enrichment, and inter-animal interactions will present research and strategies for enhancing animal welfare and animal interactions, including play.
Community Cats Podcast and National Kitten Coalition Present (fee applies): This three-day virtual gathering will feature presentations by experts on raising and saving kittens, setting up and managing kitten-centered shelter programs, and more. Since this is a virtual event, you’ll have an opportunity to gain valuable insights and have your questions answered by some of the most knowledgeable leaders in the animal welfare community—without the expense and hassle of traveling.
