Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies. Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. Texas Unites Presents (fee applies): This presentation will review and provide updates on the risk factors, pathogenesis, clinical disease, and epidemiology of infectious diseases in animal sheltering settings, with an emphasis on prevention of disease. We will focus on updates in the management of dermatophytosis, retroviruses, and feline URI.

Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
VDOS Presents (fee applies): This VDOS webinar will review local and regional anesthesia/analgesia for dental and oral surgical procedures in dogs and cats. Suitable local anesthetics and needed equipment will be discussed.
