Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. Maddie's Fund Presents: Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, animal shelter workers, volunteers and animal welfare leaders from across the country have been meeting every Monday morning - NEW TIME 8 AM PT/11 AM ET as of 9/23/20 - to discuss protocols, ideas, obstacles they’re facing and more.
National Kitten Coalition Presents: The National Kitten Coalition is excited to host Dr. Philip Bushby and Esther Mechler from the Feline Fix by Five program of Marian's Dream to present on sterilizing kittens by five months of age. Dr. Bushby will present his findings on why the change is recommended, specific concerns that people have raised, and the research that supports the change.
drip.vet and CriticalCareDVM.com Present: In this webinar by Christopher G. Byers, DVM, we will review relevant pathophysiology of respiratory distress, identify a practical approach to the localizing dyspnea in a patient with respiratory distress, and develop a logical and medically sound treatment plan for a dyspneic patient.
CVMA Presents (fee applies): This presentation will focus on the sources of OA in dogs, the impact of OA on limbs and mobility in dogs, the management options that positively impact dogs with OA, and the principles and logistics of long-term OA management programs. The functional stages of OA and management steps to consider at each of these stages will be discussed. At the end of this presentation, veterinarians will be comfortable with screening dogs for OA, staging OA in affected dogs, discussing the impact of classic forms of OA management, and developing a management program adapted to the dog and its owner.

KSMP Presents: LA County had already begun discussing a strategic rollout of Managed Intake, but Covid came along and forced so many of our hands. Last spring, seemingly overnight, Managed Intake was launched countywide at all seven Animal Care Centers in LA County. Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
IVS Presents (fee applies): This seminar has been designed to present the most current information on the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases that you are commonly asked to manage in your emergency patients. The main emphasis of the seminars will be to give you practical information that you can readily utilize in your practice. Drs. Pollard and Hackett are internationally recognized experts in their fields and lecture extensively throughout the world. Both speakers work at very busy clinical practices. Because of their involvement with busy veterinary centers, these personable speakers approach clinical problems very practically.
