Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. National Kitten Coalition Presents (small fee applies): NKCKittenNurseryConference/2021 will take place online on three Saturdays this Spring. Each day will feature a different panel of kitten nursery experts.

VETGirl Presents: Join us for a complimentary 1-hour, online VETgirl–Merck Animal Health CE webinar, where Steve Callister, PhD reviews Lyme disease and the historical perspective on development of vaccines. Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.

UW and UC Davis Shelter Medicine Programs Present: Are you fostering out pregnant dogs? Do you take in intact mature animals? Then attend this session discussing Brucella canis, a pathogen that is attracting the attention of states and shelters. Joining us in this presentation and discussion will be Dr. Brian Joseph, Washington State Department of Agriculture State Veterinarian.
The AAWA Presents: Dentistry is more than cleaning and pulling teeth; and dental disease is an animal welfare issue. Dr. Lesli Groshong will discuss the medical, financial, operational, emotional, and community impact complexities of dental disease in shelter animals. Attendees will leave with an understanding of the challenges of providing proper dental care to shelter animals, including: staff training, equipment, and costs.

Most communities lack options for low cost, no-cost, or incremental full service medicine due to laws, vet associations, and lack of willing veterinary providers.
