VETGirl Presents: In this complimentary, 1-hour VETgirl–Purina webinar, Dr. Andrew Bugbee, DACVIM reviews some tips for the treatment and monitoring of diabetes mellitus in cats.
IAABC Presents (fee applies): Modification of any problematic or unwanted behavior requires mechanical skill, knowledge of species-specific behavior, and experience with a variety of strategies and techniques. This course will provide opportunities for anyone who works with cats to gain all of that, and more.
Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
VDOS Presents (fee applies): This VDOS webinar will review the role of veterinary technicians, nurses and dental hygienists in the maintenance of equipment, instruments, and materials used in small animal dentistry and oral surgery. The focus of the second part is on routine maintenance and emergency repair of the dental machine, handpieces, etc.
CARE Presents: Join Jennifer Evans, Ranier Maningding (Founder & Chief Brand Officer of LLAG Media) and Alina M. Luna (Professor of English at Western Colorado University and an activist for equity) as they discuss stereotypes found in the media, the damage it causes, and how we can prevent future harm.
Maddie’s® Million Pet Challenge Presents: In this webinar, Drs. Chumkee Aziz and Denae Wagner will share how to provide humane housing and match community need to community capacity and shelter services to ensure all animals receive the care that is right for them.
NACA/Justice Clearinghouse Presents: This session will focus on proactive ways Animal Welfare Organizations can address calls for service at their core. We will explore some new and innovative ways Volusia County Animal Services has been addressing common animal welfare issues in Daytona Beach, Florida.
UW and UC Davis Shelter Medicine Programs Present: Janis Bradley, Director of Communications and Publications at National Canine Research Council and the recent keynote speaker at the Big Dog Master Class, will present, "Irreconcilable differences? Maybe not! A new look at 50 years of data about behavioral incompatibilities and dog relinquishment to shelters."
IAABC Presents (fee applies): Jim Crosby is widely recognized as an expert in the field of dog bites, dog aggression, and fatal dog attacks. In this four-part course, Jim is sharing his hard-won knowledge and experience about dog aggression, bites, communication, and what we can do with all of this as we go through our personal and professional journeys through the canine world.
Network for Good Presents: The Giving Environment series, produced by researchers at the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, looks at pre-pandemic trends in charitable giving, understanding donor decisions in recent years, new models of giving such as subscription giving, and the growing significance of engaging donors.
The AAWA Presents: Dr. Rob McKenna and Dr. Daniel Hallak from WiLD Leaders will take you through a process of asking 10 key development questions that create intentional developmental feedback and insight for others you lead or serve. You'll leave this session with the tools to increase the adaptive performance and direction of others around you.
