Humane Canada/PetSmart Charities of Canada Present (fee applies): The National Animal Welfare Conference is a MUST attend event if you are involved in animal welfare. It has been the biggest and best-attended animal welfare conference in Canada since 2014. In 2021 we are expecting to welcome over 1000 attendees online from across Canada and abroad.
CalAnimals and Maddie's Fund Present (fee applies): The 2021 Virtual Animal Care Conference will feature 4 learning tracks, 20+ education sessions, over 30 knowledgeable speakers, and 2 days of exhibitors showcasing the latest industry products. This yearly event brings together animal control officers, humane officers, animal care attendants, behaviorists, humane educators, shelter directors, veterinarians, RVTS, customer service representatives, all law enforcement personnel, and other animal-sheltering professionals.
Mindful Vet Med Presents: This session will include brief practices as well as an overview of mindfulness as it relates to the animal welfare field. We will take a look at the challenges and frustrations we face which can lead to things like compassion fatigue and burn out, and which can also leave us questioning ourselves and even our ability to move forward. Come join us for an evening of connection and possibility as we explore opportunities to move through our busy days with more space and less reactivity.
AmPa! Presents: The AmPA! weekly Maddie's Instructor Summit offers shelters and rescues a chance to talk through the most current animal sheltering challenges! Topics will change each week. You'll join AmPA! and HASS Staff and industry leaders, but, more importantly, you'll be able to engage face to face (digitally!) with people like you. Because not feeling alone makes this work a lot easier.

NACA/Justice Clearinghouse Presents: Short term foster programs are an easy way to reduce kennel stress as well as increase the visibility of your adoptable dogs in the community. Lowered kennel stress equals happier dogs, higher adoption numbers, and lower euthanasia rates. Recruit your community to help you market adoptable dogs in a fun and productive way. The best part of these programs are that often the foster parent ends up adopting their short-term foster pet!

HSUS Presents: Does your agency or organization get calls about birds and squirrels fallen out of nests, very young raccoons seen without mom, or fawns and baby rabbits alone in fields or backyards? Whether or not you respond to these types of calls or refer them to a wildlife rehabilitator, this webinar will help you determine and achieve the best outcome for these animals. (Spoiler alert: many of these baby animals are probably not actually orphaned!) Learn how to know when intervention is necessary, how to reunite dependent young with their parents whenever possible, and how to best work with wildlife rehabilitators when reuniting is not possible.
