Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. Shelter Playgroup Alliance Presents: Shelter Enrichment and Inter-dog Communication is the first of a two-part workshop series on the implementation of enrichment and inter-dog playgroups in shelters. During this first session we will review the components of a shelter enrichment program and discuss how inter-dog playgroups play a role. Additionally, we will take a dive into inter-canine communication signals that serve as a foundation for the management of dog playgroups.

Million Cat Challenge and Maddie's Fund Present: Do you have 15 minutes to help 3,000,000 cats make history TODAY? On January 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm PT, the Million Cat Challenge cats' lives saved counter is on track to hit its 3,000,000th life saved. To celebrate, the cats are taking over the internet in an effort to double down and mark this historic moment with a world record: World's Largest Online Toast! People belonging to cats: Please have ready a tasty beverage for you and a smelly treat for your cat so we raise a can to 3 million cats saved by North American shelters participating in the Million Cat Challenge.
Banfield Presents: Conflict is something that, as much as we try, we cannot avoid because conflict is comes up anytime your view differs from another’s — and humans are opinionated beings. While most of us have a strong reactions to conflict, including (but not limited to) fear; avoidance; and/or dread, conflict can also have positive impacts. It can allow for exploration of new and different ways of doing things resulting in better outcomes. When we think of the negatives of conflict it’s because of the emotions that conflict evokes — often making situations feel explosive. By learning how to step up to conflict and confronting it head on by using the right approach, you can turn conflict into a positive for both you and your team.
CVMA Presents (fee applies): This presentation will focus on the sources of OA in dogs, the impact of OA on limbs and mobility in dogs, the management options that positively impact dogs with OA, and the principles and logistics of long-term OA management programs. The functional stages of OA and management steps to consider at each of these stages will be discussed. At the end of this presentation, veterinarians will be comfortable with screening dogs for OA, staging OA in affected dogs, discussing the impact of classic forms of OA management, and developing a management program adapted to the dog and its owner.
