Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. EveryCat Health Foundation Presents: This presentation will focus on newer shelter medicine approaches to URI – prevention strategies that have succeeded to the point that many shelters no longer have a “URI problem”; when to isolate affected cats and when that’s not needed; when diagnostic tests are needed and which ones are useful; when to treat and with what; and how to manage a newly adopted cat that is sneezing.
AmPa! Presents: The AmPA! weekly Maddie's Instructor Summit offers shelters and rescues a chance to talk through the most current animal sheltering challenges! Topics will change each week. You'll join AmPA! and HASS Staff and industry leaders, but, more importantly, you'll be able to engage face to face (digitally!) with people like you. Texas Unites Presents (fee applies): Whether you’re a small rescue group or a huge municipal shelter, this session will provide you with tangible strategies to improve your social media and animal promotional efforts in a time when virtual communications could not be more important. Speakers have experience in non-profit and municipal shelters with intakes ranging from 2,000 to 40,000 pets a year, in addition to serving on the boards of non-shelter animal welfare organizations.

PuppyWorks Presents (fee applies): In this new webinar series from Suzanne Clothier, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how temperament affects whether training is or is not successful, depending on the individual dog, handler & task; a dog's intrinsic/extrinsic motivation, how it affects what it wants to do, can do, struggles to do & how this effects training and homing; and structure for thinking about what to want, need & expect from a dog and how to identify a best match-home for a dog.

Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
Learners will be invited to join a cohort of 75 individuals that will meet virtually for three months via the Litmos LMS platform. Each cohort will be invited to twice-monthly (bi-weekly) hour-long, live meetings via Zoom webinar so that questions can be answered live. The bi-weekly meetings will feature video analysis and discussion of relevant topics. A discussion board per cohort will be maintained and moderated. After matriculation of each cohort, the cohort’s discussion board will be archived.
