This calendar is a listing of webinars, other learning opportunities, online meetings and other upcoming national events related to animal sheltering and related areas of interest.
Only some of these events are produced by the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. Most are being created and sponsored by other groups and agencies. Being listed here does not mean that we have reviewed the material contained. We are trying to provide a variety of resources to hopefully help make your life a little easier. Maddie's Fund Presents: The registration period for the Return to Home Challenge is from July 25 - August 1, 2022. Along with saving time, resources and shelter space to help those pets who really need it, you’ll have a chance at the $300,000 in grant prizes, thanks to Maddie’s Fund, Michelson Found Animals Foundation and Petco Love.

HeARTs Speak Presents: If photos and video open the door, then the descriptions and bios that we write for pets are what tend to seal the deal. This presentation will delve into how to use bios to help communicate effectively while also catching attention for long-stay or overlooked pets.

Shelter Playgroup Alliance Presents: Learners will be invited to join a cohort that will meet virtually for four months via the Litmos LMS platform. Each cohort will be invited to twice-monthly (bi-weekly) hour-long, live meetings via Zoom webinar so that questions can be answered live. The bi-weekly meetings will feature video analysis and discussion of relevant topics.
Maddie's Fund Presents: Maddie’s Fund hosts a weekly 50-minute Zoom call for animal well-being professionals. Karen Pryor Academy Presents: Join Ken Ramirez, KPCT’s Chief Training Officer, for a free virtual event on Thursday, August 4, at 12:00 pm (PT).
