Karen Pryor Academy Presents: Ken will share the case study of a project he conducted from 2013 through 2015 in Chicago. He will explore the challenges and protocols he followed in working with four dogs rescued from Chicago area shelters. Three of the dogs were severely reactive, one was a trained fighting dog, and all had a bite history. The protocol followed was an introduction protocol, not an aggression treatment protocol. Although the project resulted in a significant reduction in aggression, the protocol was designed to teach animals how to live together and how to cohabitate. Ken will share the details of the protocol and share the steps he used to teach the dogs to work cooperatively and live together.
