The curriculum offers a comprehensive framework intended to assist organizations contemplating the establishment of an animal control program or seeking to refine their existing initiatives. It serves as a strategic guide for evaluating and optimizing program architectures that effectively serve and support communities.

ASPCAPro Presents: This course will cover common toxidromes encountered in veterinary medicine, including anticholinergic, cholinergic, sympathomimetic, opioid and hyperthermic toxidromes. Dr. Hopkins will provide an overview of mechanisms, clinical presentations, treatment, diagnostic testing and considerations for approaching decontamination and unknown toxic exposures.

Maddie’s Fund Presents: This talk will give background information regarding the online promotion of adoptable animals and will focus on the results of our recent study that analyzed the Facebook posts of several rural animal shelters to determine whether certain types of content (e.g., style/features of photos and videos, subject/tone of text, type/sex of animal, etc.) influenced engagement.
